Dionne Warwick began her singing career providing backup vocals for other artists. However, she quickly launched her solo career with the release of her debut single "Don't Make Me Over" in 1962. This was followed by a few less notable releases, then in 1964 she released "Anyone Who Had a Heart" and "Walk on By" which were breakthrough hits and launched her career. She went on to record numerous additional hits including "Do You Know The Way To San Jose" and "I Say a Little Prayer."
