Van Morrison is a legendary Grammy Award winning Irish singer, songwriter and musician. He plays a variety of instruments, including the guitar, harmonica, drums, saxaphone and keyboards. Featuring his characteristic growl  a unique mix of throaty folk, blues, Irish, scat, and Celtic influences  Morrison is widely considered one of the most unusual and influential vocalists in the history of rock and roll.
Van Morrison first rose to prominence as the lead singer of the Irish band Them, writing their hit song "Gloria". In the late sixties, Morrison left Them and embarked on his successful solo career.
